Pamlico Catch
The sound of seafood.
Thanks to the farm-to-table movement, consumers increasingly desire local foods from producers they know. We want to make sure local seafood has a place at the table.

We are actively recruiting founding members for Pamlico Catch. This includes commercial fishermen (and women!), seafood dealers, retailers and processors, restaurant owners and chefs, caterers, food writers, grocers, culinary instructors, dieticians, foodies, and those who just want to support a strong local economy.

Our Mission
... is more than fishin'
Pamlico Catch will operate with the following goals:

Serve as a repository for credible, vetted resources that discuss complex fisheries issues in a way that the average North Carolina citizen and seafood consumer can understand
-
Ensure truth-in-advertising related to the accurate labeling and marketing of seafood products so consumers can make informed buying decisions
-
Encourage a seasonal approach to North Carolina seafood consumption with a greater appreciation for underutilized species
-
Strengthen connections between personal habits and healthy water resources that enhance coastal habitat
-
Create an environment conducive to value-added business development that keeps more seafood in-state and further contributes to the local economy
